Refractions – Collective exhibition at Kirk Gallery – Aalborg (Denmark)

Among others you’ll be able to explore the universe of 9 new international artists picked from the top shelf with the wish to give a taste of what’s happening right now at the international scene for modern abstraction and ”Graffuturism”.

Originally the term “Graffuturism” was created by the American artist and art commentator Poesia, who edits and publishes an online blog under the same name; Graffuturism.com today. With a background as a well-respected graffiti artist with a twenty-year history, he felt there was something missing to depict the gap between graffiti and urban art which led to the term “Graffuturism”.

The term hereby embraces the latest currents within urban art/graffiti and at times also futurism, bridging the gap between these concepts and the energy in between.

6 Walls, 6 Artists

A project organised in partnership with the M.U.R. Organisation as part of the “cultural summer”

Throughout the month of July 2020, creative workshops were set up in various structures working with young people or engaged in the fight against social insecurity, such as the Emmaüs Solidarité shelters, homes for unaccompanied minors (with child welfare services), the residents of social housing (in partnership with Paris Habitat), or the community centres of Paris.

6 street artists using a variety of techniques (collage, graffiti and painting) provided participants with a wall for expression.

This initiative supported artists and provided sometimes fragile audiences with a creative experience in the company of an artist, thus helping them to improve their daily environment.

The exhibition Swiss Watches takes place at the same time as the Urban Art Fair and marks a contrast, as the show Swiss Watches is an independent urban art exhibition. The goal of the exposition is to present Swiss quality by selecting only the most emerging artist in Graffiti Art. In 2016 Kolly Gallery initiated a series of exhibitions, entitled Swiss Cheese and Swiss Chocolate, in order to bring attention to the exceptional urban art movement. For the third exhibition Swiss Watches is presenting a quite international line up as well as some new names and unexpected urban jewels. The represented artists are: FLYING FÖRTRESS (DE), PAVEL RTUE (RU), 123 KLAN (CA), SWEETUNO (CH) and SUPAKITCH (FR).

For the third edition the title and concept of the exhibition Swiss Watches implements a superb andoutstanding quality in the exhibited pieces, similar to the world-renowned watches fabricated in Switzerland. The main idea is to represent Switzerland’s strength of luxury goods export. Finally this exhibition promisesstreet credibility for all artists represented. For the third time Kolly Gallery will present an astonishing, surprising and unforgettable experience. Last but not least, do not forget: „Everyone loves Swiss Watches!“

Never Ending Fall – Mirus gallery San Francisco – Recap

Mirus Gallery is pleased to present a solo exhibition by Gilbert1 opening February 16, 2018 from 7-10PM with the artist present. The show runs through March 10th

Gilbert1’s process takes its roots in experimenting and evolving as much as possible and trying different mediums. He has found his own vocabulary assembling volume shapes with raw material in reference of a decadent world, and transforming his abstract letter graphics into deconstructed structures.
Creating in situ anamorphosis led him to develop an optical vision he enhances now in studio. Having worked recently the last years on black and white drawings and also as studies for tattoos – dotwork, gradients, transparency, translations, negatives – brought him to research in depth, dimension and perspective.
For his first solo with Mirus Gallery, Gilbert1 wanted to work more in this direction, in order to integrate his usual compositions and graphics in a surrounding dimension and play with vanishing points. He was interested to work on depth and height sensations as a door which suddenly opens under feet, a kind of vacuum which could never stops and create another falling possibility axis.

Art Elysées in Paris – Galerie Wagner

Art Élysées–Art & Design is one of the major events during the Parisian Art Week, which takes place every year in October. The fair contributes to the capital’s artistic dynamism and activity. Art Élysées stands apart from other fairs by offering reliable assets, valuable works of art and an alternative to the current art market. Through its unique identity and strong stand on art, the fair is a key event for art aficionados and collectors. The Art Élysées–Art & Design fair showcases an exceptional range of art. Art Élysées is the only fair to present 4 different sections, each under an ephemeral pavilion set up along the Avenue des Champs- Élysées. Both French and foreign galleries present a substantial selection of works in response to the market’s current demands. During each edition the fair renews coherent dialogue between modern and contemporary art and 20th century design. Contemporary artists in constant motion can be found next to some of the greatest references that have marked art history of the 20th century. Effective and attractive business opportunities; Art Élysées is a key fair for buyers and art professionals.

Intersections – Collective exhibition at Galerie Wagner in Le Touquet

Collective exhibition with Helene Vans, Seize and Sebastien Preschoux at Galerie Wagner in le Touquet (fr).
Opening September 23th, 6pm
